Dr. Ronald Edward Smiley is a self-employed, free-lance consultant specializing in strategic management and leadership development. He organizes and leads workshops aimed enhancing leadership skills.  An accomplished author, Dr. Smiley recently published a first book titled, Optimizing Your Gifts for Career Success: My Journey Leveraging Resilience, Mentorship, and Leadership Mien.  He is a retired member of the Navy’s Senior Executive Service (SES), where he served for more than forty-nine years.   Dr. Smiley holds a Doctorate and Master of Arts in Management from The Claremont Graduate School. He received a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Howard University.  Since retiring in 2020, he currently serves on the Board of Managers for the Channel Islands, CA YMCA, supports the Association of Old Crows (AOC) Electronic Defense Organization, and is engaged with both the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) organization and the Senior Executives Association (SEA).  He and his wife currently reside in Ventura, CA.
